Lightbulb Useful Links

PhysicianCrossroads.com has many useful links to help a physician land a job in the Unitied States. Physician jobs in the US are on the rise according to the U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Outlook Handbook. There it states:

"Employment of physicians and surgeons is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations. Job opportunities should be very good, especially for physicians and surgeons willing to practice in specialties—including family practice, internal medicine, and OB/GYN—or in rural and low-income areas where there is a perceived shortage of medical practitioners."

Hi,

Adding to this post, I agree with the general perception that there is indeed a shortage of medical practitioners. Ask me - I am a physician recruiter myself.

Here is an excellent report prepared by the Wisconsin Medical Assocation and the Wisconsin Medical Society on this subject - docstor.rms.med.wisc.edu/document_11_66781.pdf.

Thumbs up Wisconsin has done an excellent article on this subject

I enjoyed reading and was amazed at the facts and statistics....I knew there was a shortage of doctors but this clearly points not only to Wisconsin but a nationwide shortage especially of Primary Care Physicians Internal Medicine seems to bee gravitating to Hospitalist style practice and Family Practice just hasn't paid as well as the subspecialties and new residents are choosing other more financially rewarding specialties.
