Robin Hill VP at Torrance Memorial hospital offered these insights recently in a phone call where we asked her what the hospital system looks for in new physician recruits. She would like to see new physicians coming to them with knowledge about reimbursement, HIPAA, point of care systems and technology, and knowledge about risk management.

Hi Robin,
I am interested in knowing more about what will help find a job as a medical executive physician. It seems like there is a great interest but less opportunities for physicians who would like to perform non-clinical work. How would one go about discreetly searching for such a position. In your opinion and experience is there a higher demand for physicians that have primary care specilaisties?
