Amir H. Soas, M.D.
During his years in the Marines, Dr. Soas learned Arabic and is fluent in English and Spanish as well. Following is a synopsis of his management portfolio which includes broad organizational leadership and a substantial scope of management responsibility. He was appointed by the Duma of Tatarstan as their chief health advisor and the CEO of the central hospital (1324 beds) and regional health systems consisting of a staff of 1500. His responsibility required smooth and efficient operation of the central hospital, and the regional clinical system responsible for the health and welfare of over fifteen million people. He developed a management and operational system, including a profit and loss statement for the hospital's business model. Dr. Soas' other experiences include building new hospitals and satellite clinics for acute care from ground up. Most of these hospitals and clinics were in the range from 25-135 bed facilities in Bolivia, Mexico, Egypt, Yemen, and Turkmenistan.
