Dr. Arthur Diamond Dr Diamond, a National Institute of Health (NIH) Fellow in Diagnostic Radiology, has practiced for over 35 years. During this time Radiology experienced unprecedented growth and technical advances. In 1985, Dr. Diamond stopped doing hospital based interventional radiology and became a pioneer in outpatient Radiology services. Dr Diamond's interest in breast imaging was rekindled in 1988 when he worked with Dr Laszlo Tabar for 6 months in Long Beach, California and in 1989 when he spent 3 weeks with Dr Tabar in Sweden. Dr Diamond, along with several others, founded the Long Beach Memorial Breast Center. The October 1997 issue of Self Magazine named L.B. Memorial among the ten best breast centers in the USA. Specifically cited was the double reading screening mammography program introduced by Dr Diamond. In 1989, Dr Diamond participated in an award winning videotape for the American Cancer Society entitled "Clinical Breast Examination: A New Approach". He has been a film reviewer for the ACR Mammography Accreditation Program (MAP) for eight years. MAP is responsible for accreditation of all breast centers across the USA. Dr. Diamond has also served on the Breast Subcommittee for Scientific Exhibits of the Radiology Society of North America (RSNA) including the role as chairman for several years. He has published 18 scientific papers in peer reviewed journals. Dr. Diamond is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology.
