Vets With A Mission is announcing its third and final Vietnam trip for 2010 – Hong Ha/Hong Kim/A Luoi in Hue Thua Thein Province (west of Hue near the Laotian & Vietnam border).

It’s a humanitarian medical mission team needing both medical/health volunteers and non-medical/health volunteers. Vietnam vets are given priority placement followed by non-vets, and there is a role for everyone to play on the team regardless of professional training or not!

Dates of this Vietnam team trip are September 22 – October 5. The price is $2,999 plus $100 non-refundable deposit from San Francisco. The application and team trip announcement is attached.

Clinic with A Heart
We offer a free, walk-in urgent care clinic six times a month in Lincoln, NE. We provide short-term medical, dental, chiropractic, physical therapy and medication assistance. The population served includes people who are uninsured and underinsured. This population includes many working poor and homeless individuals Patients are referred to Clinic with a Heart through human service agencies, food distribution centers, the county health department, churches and community centers.

Emmanuel Hospital Association
We are a hospital based organization involved in medical care to the poor. We have departments of Medicine, Surgery, Gynae, Paediatrics, Anaesthesia, Dentistry, community health and ophthalmology and see about 50000 outpatients per year and admit upwards of 15000 patients per year. We are involved in the malaria control in the Udalguri district of Assam, plan to start a community based rehabilitation programme, and are going to set up low cost tuberculosis clinics, and hope to treat about 2000 very poor patients per year.

The Mission Society
Founded in 1984 in the Wesleyan tradition, The Mission Society recruits, trains, and sends Christian missionaries to minister around the world. At present, The Mission Society has more than 225 missionaries in 32 countries. Medical personnel are needed on most of our fields. Operation Medical Libraries (OML)
OML is a grass roots efforts whose mission is providing medical texts and journals to medical schools and hospitals in Iraq and Afghanistan. Originally founded as Books Without Borders, it started in April 2007 by Valerie Walker, Director of the UCLA Medical Alumni Association (MAA). She responded to an email request from a graduate of the medical school at UCLA for donated medical textbooks for medical facilities in Tikrit, Iraq. Original donations came from the UCLA medical alumni, faculty, and students. The name was changed to Operation Medical Libraries in the spring 2008.

Team Healthcare, Inc.

Vets With A Mission was founded in 1989 to bring healing, restoration, and renewal to Viet Nam vets and the people of Viet Nam. VWAM is a 501 (c) (3) charitable corporation funded solely on private donations. VWAM's scriptural foundation is II Corinthians 5:18. Now in its 20th anniversary year, VWAM carries out various humanitarian programs and projects in Viet Nam and is recognized by the Vietnamese government as a NGO.

Vets With A Mission has sponsored 27 medical clinics or rural health care stations, built one school, renovated two orphanages and two churches, shipped 36 cargo containers of medical equipment & supplies, taken over 1,250 volunteers on 32 humanitarian medical, project, or disaster relief teams, and implemented other humanitarian programs in such areas as vocational training, drug rehabilitation, higher education, business development, and other special projects. In 2008 VWAM established the Children's Heart Surgery Program in cooperation with Hue Medical College and Hue Central Hospital to provide heart surgeries for infants, children, teenagers, and young adults. To date VWAM humanitarian teams have served and ministered to over 41,000 Vietnamese in Southern and Central Viet Nam.

We are an American Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based outside of Washington, D.C. in Virginia. VNAH’s projects, supported by grants from the U.S government as well as foundations in the U.S and Japan and individual contributions, have provided development and humanitarian assistance to those most in need in Viet Nam since 1990.

World Organization of Renal Therapies (WORTH)
For the vast majority of people in the Third World, renal failure is "a death sentence." World Organization of Renal Therapies (WORTH) was formed as a non-profit corporation to address this issue, with the goal of creating self-sustaining dialysis centers in the capital city of Yaounde initially, and replicating an effective model across the country. In the longer-term, Cameroon will serve as a beachhead from which we will build other units and train personnel. First and foremost, nobody will be turned away from a WORTH unit for the inability to pay.
