Job Profile:
This individual is responsible for leading the Record to Report workstream for a NetSuite implementation. The role will require in-depth knowledge of finance and accounting rules, end to end finance processes and shared services operating model, and particularly end to end Record to Report functions. This individual will work alongside business owners and the finance functional lead to define the detailed finance operating model for Record to Report processes.
Our Ideal Candidate Profile:
Accounting and Controls (80%)

  • Lead the Record to Report work stream for a NetSuite systems implementation, bringing strong accounting and process knowledge and broad experience to this effort
  • Provide consultative support for future state design and identify opportunities for business process improvement and optimization
  • Define and implement controls and efficiencies as we build out the organization and processes
  • Lead problem solving related to Record to Report through identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing and conducting analysis, synthesizing and presenting conclusions, and helping to implement into new processes and technology
  • Review and analyze information from reports, interviews and other sources
  • Collaborate across departments to provide support for process improvements, and ensure details are properly reflected for configuration
  • Develop and execute system and user acceptance test plans and provide training to others to ensure that quality expectations are met

Communications (20%)

  • Collaborate across departments to provide support for process improvements, and ensure details are properly reflected for configuration
  • Collaborate effectively with others to find creative and innovative business solutions, demonstrating proficient cross-organization communication and partnership in interactions with others
  • Listen, learn and help with process issues, address concerns, identify potential risks and opportunities, and improve overall processes and outcomes

Qualifications:
Required

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • High level Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, is helpful
  • Working knowledge of software that enables added functionality in ERP, i.e. Concur, is helpful
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

  • An experienced manager to establish the technical foundation and processes related to financial close and reporting, ensuring data integrity and compliance, process optimization, and continuous improvement
  • Strong finance process experience and experience in Record to Report implementation and deployment
  • Strong Shared Services and/or Outsourcing experience in operational and program roles
  • Highly productive and able to drive toward the vision
